Today, I missed a party because I thought I’d gotten a stomach virus. Turns out it was a false alarm because I feel perfectly fine now… Here’s a nice (ridiculous) shot from P&P 2005.

Abandoning a ship

I really hate it when I find myself having jumped ship when it’s not even sunk yet. Really hate it. Does it mean I’m fickle or something?

3. Favorite Austen book
Emma. No surprise there, I imagine. Both my favorite main characters are from this book, so how could it not be my favorite? It was the first book by Austen that I read and I fell in love with it instantly. I loved that Emma was imperfect in that original way, I loved Mr Knightley and I loved the premise and the plot and it made me laugh (Mrs Elton especially) and I just… can’t explain it further than that. I just love reading it, brings a big smile to my lips every time.

2. Favorite Austen man

Without a doubt Mr Knightley. I just love him, he’s the perfect gentleman to the core. he’s not overly concerned about appearances and the appearance of being amiable, the important thing is being good-hearted. And he is so clear-sighted and clever, and even though he is constantly scolding Emma he still falls in love with her. He’s just such a gentleman, and when everybody else waits for a Mr Darcy, I am waiting for a Mr Knightley.

No photo because I imagine him so incredibly different from any of the adaptations, and while all the actors (of the last three adaptations) have done amazing jobs, they still are nowhere close.
